Model notes & browser limits

NEC2++ calculates accepted-power gain over flat, homogeneous soil. Presets: poor/dry εr = 4, 0.001 S/m; average εr = 13, 0.005 S/m; good/moist εr = 20, 0.03 S/m. The selected preset is used for calculation.

SR25 gravity droop is solved before radiation, only within its 2.12–25.04 ft mechanical profile. Longer or shorter V elements are straight and clearly labeled. Wire antennas are straight supported conductors, without sag.

EFHW includes a straight counterpoise in your selected direction. Downward counterpoises must remain above ground. Moving one endpoint holds the other endpoint’s height fixed; the horizontal span changes to keep the wire length fixed. Transformer, coax and matching losses are excluded.

Every solution checks mesh convergence and lossless energy balance. Source sensitivity is checked at sweep endpoints and each wire/EFHW angle. These are numerical checks, not measured hardware validation.

Playback shows direct calculated solutions at 10 fps, without interpolation. Patterns use a 2° sampling grid; color shows gain in dBi and radius shows field amplitude. Both scales stay fixed throughout one calculation.

The initial engine download is larger than an ordinary page. Small sweeps work best on phones. Large or difficult models may exceed memory or segment limits. Cancel immediately stops the calculation worker.

Settings and recent results may be stored in this browser. They are never sent to a calculation service.
